Review of The Alchemist by Paul Coelho
The book in simple words is about believing in your dreams. It talks about how achieving your dream can sometimes be tiresome, intriguing or might even seem incongruous but once achieved can change your life. The book starts by introducing the reader to a shepherd who dreams about a treasure on a regular basis. The shepherd who likes to travel gets very much fascinated by this dream and how he achieves his dream makes up the rest of the story. His journey has been beautifully presented by talking about omens, oases, sheep etc. How foolish you can turn out be by not following your dreams is presented really well and that sums up everything. Its 2020 and you would have heard this plenty of times – “If you wish for something deeply, the whole universe shall conspire to provide you what you wished”. The whole book runs on this saying and after reading this book and life of author, I feel it stands out to be true.
Who should read ?
This book is especially for teenagers and youth and for someone who challenges the stereotypes. The vocabulary is undercoated and the whole book can be completed in a day or two by very beginners.
